What a week! When I first saw that the National Association of Realtors Annual Conference was going to be in San Diego - a place I go quite often - the first thought that crossed my mnd was it would be crazy for me not to go. After speaking with other Realtors nobody I knew had ever been or seemed interested in going and being me, I had no problem going it alone. I reviewed the options offered and decided that a pre-conference course on working with Asia & Pacific International Buyers was of great interest to me. Having lived in Japan and traveled Asia extensively, i know what it's like in that area of the world, as well as one of my closest friends being from Sydney, Australia, and working with two other Australian families finding them a home in Henderson, Nevada, this class was meant for me! Within 10 minutes I knew this was callling me and by lunch I had decided that I definitely wanted to get my Certified Internation Property Specialist (CIPS) Designation. One class done, four more to go and I am so excited!
Day 1 of the actual conference and again I had no idea what to actually expect and once again by lunch time I was already thinking about the conference next year. I am invigorated by Real Estate again. New tools, new ideas, meeting Realtors from all over the world, a good economic forecast for Real Estate, how could I not be! I'm looking forward to implementing everything I have learned. It was more than I ever expected.
Real Estate is truly all I know - okay that and how to make a good cheesecake - but it's not only what I know, it's what brings me joy. No matter how crazy my day is, how busy life gets the one thing I truly know is how to get clients the best price possible for their home, whether they are buying or selling, and how to get the transaction closed and at the end of the day I can pour a glass of wine and know I'm right where I'm suppose to be.
